JKDefrag is a disk utility program that defragments your disk drives.
This utility defragments your hard, soft, or removable disks and optimizes Windows completely automatic. It can manage floppies, USB disks, memory sticks, and any other media that Windows indentifies as a disk. This tool includes other two programs: JkDefragCmd.exe that is a command line version of JkDefrag and is design to run in background, and JkDefragScreenSaver.exe which is the screen saver version.
It started to work when you double clicked on the program icon. There are no configurations or settings in this utility. If you need to defragment any other unit even removable units, you just need to move the program to the disk or unit and will work as in a hard disk.
Its GUI is very simple and only indicates the progress and the phase or action that currently is performing on the disk. The GUI’s command line version has no GUI, its GUI is the DOS session to write the options of the program. The GUI’s screen saver version will show the option to defragment on a screen saver.
To use the command line version please read the documentation, the set of commands available for this version are included on it. For the screen saver version copy JkDefragScreenSaver.exe and JkDefragScreenSaver.scr files to the windows folder and configure this screen saver.
The program will perform three phases: analyze, defragment and fix up. There is no user interaction with the program.
There is no installation process, simply unzip the file and the programs will be ready to use. its documentation is complete and is included with the application.
JkDefrag runs in Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista/2008/X64 platforms. |
